GUILLAUME HERR-ZEKANOWSKI

„RGNR8”

Guillaume Herr-Zekanowski is a French urban designer and landscape architect. For the Open Gallery, he presents “RGNR8”, which symbolizes the revival of the grey urban city. The purpose of this project is to explore how a calligraphy based on the codes of architecture could reinvigorate the environment and create new spaces. The background and the three big letters R-Z-K (an abbreviation of Guillaume’s name), express the idea that change depends on the artist, while the art itself provides a basis for change in the surrounding environment. In the foreground, simple geometrical forms and lines create the hidden letters RGNR-VIII , which in turn, create new volumes.
