IGNAS LUKAUSKAS

„Palanga bridge”

Ignas Lukauskas is an architect and street artist that integrates street art with urban architecture. For the Open Gallery, Lukauskas recreated a segment of the Baltic coast – the familiar sight of the Palanga Bridge amid the sweeping waves of the sea. The artist placed this image in the mysterious space of the garage. With his works of art, the architect explores urban structures and seeks to bring attention to destructive urban spaces by deconstructing the problematics of its structures. The depiction of the Baltic Sea in the city creates new meaning for the space – a parallel between the urban and natural worlds.
