ZOE SEVER
IF YOU WILL IT, IT IS NO DREAM“
Shalom Vilnius – with love from Israel
This work of street art is a gift from the Embassy of Israel in Lithuania to the city of Vilnius on the occasion of two anniversaries: the 700th birthday of Vilnius and the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Israel and Lithuania. The mural, a collaboration of artists from both countries, takes us to Israel, where millennia of history merge with the dynamic and vibrant present of modern Israel. The work of the internationally recognized Israeli artist Zoe Sever (born in Ukraine) symbolizes the famous phrase by Theodor Herzl, the Father of modern political Zionism and the Visionary of the State. Herzl’s vision was unique as it paved the unplowed path, demonstrated courage and used variety of talents, all of them are still relevant as the world has changed but the vision remains as it was.
