Michelangelo’s David, along with other sculptures from Ancient Greece and Renaissance, 80’s music and retro com-puter graphics were appropriated by the vaporwave phenomenon. On the internet, it was revived as JPEG pictures and .avi files, while in this space David’s stone is replaced by polyurethane, silicon, indium gallium nitride, and other materials. Three true-to-size copies of David’s face, their eyes shining with unnatural colors invite to submerge yourself into a quagmire of simple esthetic satisfaction. It is a monument to vaporwave – as real and eternal as the phenome-non itself.
