“¼ of Freedom” is a wall painting of Aistis Kavaliauskas and Jurgis Tarabilda, which is based on Frederic Auguste Bartholdi sculpture “Statue of Liberty”. This work of art is only a fragment of the image of the “Statue of Liberty”, which remains the same size and proportions of the real sculpture. “¼ of Freedom” suggests a spectator to experience the world famous icon of freedom in a bit unusual space and in this way invites to think of the idea and issues of freedom in the perspective of the political and social context of life. Such public space intervention is perceived as a non-aggressive push to think of freedom, both locally and globally.
